That curiosity killed the cat is not so impressive. I mean, we're supposed to beware curiosity because of some cat? Now if the idiom were "Curiosity killed a herd of bison" or "Curiosity wiped out all the beetle species in Borneo in a single night"--now that'd make one think twice. But a measly cat?
